Yuen’s Tailor
14 April 2025
Yuen’s Tailor is a locally branded tailoring shop founded in 1974. They provide bespoke tailoring services, with their mainstay being formal and business wear for men. A few teams from the foundry had an amazing time exploring and understanding the workings of bespoke tailoring, an experience that not everyone can come on by. With Yuen’s Tailors’ vast history in bespoke tailoring, our mentees not only got a chance to look at the workings of their tailor-made products, but also special tailor-made kilts, which Yuen’s Tailor takes pride in being one, if not the only, true kilt maker in Hong Kong.

Addoilmusic
16 April 2025
Addoilmusic not only is a dynamic music label committed to discovering and developing fresh talents, they also provide publishing, studio, live shows and performances, and training services.
Our mentees were able to explore more in-depth into the behind the scenes of how music are produced and the different stages there are to producing music.

Heroes Beer Co
16 April 2025
Our students had the opportunity to tour the Heroes Beer Co facilities and look at the process behind how their beers are brewed while also learning more about the creation process of the company as a whole.
This visit provided our students with a good understanding of the F&B industry, which could come in hand when it’s our students’ turn to create their own business plans during the Foundry programme.

SINO INNO LAB AND THE SPARK
17 April 2025
To inspire the next generation of innovators, we organized a visit to the Sino Inno Lab and The Spark. During this visit, students gained a deeper understanding of the technology solutions demonstrated by the Sino Inno Lab and observed the Sino Innovation team in action. This company visit aimed to enhance their understanding of innovation and technology. We believe this experience will offer them a fresh perspective as they engage on their own journeys as future innovators.

VTC—ICI/CCI/HTI
24 April 2025
Three of our Foundry school teams, accompanied by our mentors, had the privilege of exploring the impressive facilities at VTC—ICI, CCI, and HTI. We are especially grateful to Eve, our guide, who led us through the tour of Chinese and Western kitchens, as well as the training hotel.
During our visit, we were also warmly welcomed by VTC students, who shared their authentic and inspiring stories of learning and success. One standout moment was meeting Skye, a remarkable young lady training as a pastry chef who got awarded a scholarship after participating in a French international baking contest. We sampled delicious chocolates, toured the master chef kitchen, and even visited the wine cellar. The highlight was viewing a stunning sunset corner suite hotel room.

V Cycle
26 April 2025
We were thrilled to organize an eye-opening company visit to @vcyclehk (V Cycle) for our students, where they explored the power of recycling and the latest trends in sustainability.
The day kicked off with an inspiring session led by Eric, the founder of V Cycle, who shared insights on waste management and the importance of recycling education. Students then toured the facility, getting a behind-the-scenes look at its daily operations. But the real highlight? Rolling up their sleeves and working alongside the incredible seniors at V Cycle to experience the plastic recycling process firsthand—from sorting bottles to removing labels!

Clifton Leung Design Workshop
10 May 2025
Clifton Leung Design Workshop has been crafting timeless, beautiful, and sustainable spaces since 1997. Recently, our mentees had the incredible opportunity to step into the creative world of design by visiting their studio.
The team at Clifton Leung shared captivating behind-the-scenes stories of their iconic home and corporate projects, blending artistry with functionality. Then came the highlight: a fast-paced 5-minute design challenge where mentees teamed up to sketch bold ideas on the spot. The energy was electric, and the results? Pure creativity unleashed!

As we wandered through its stunning restaurants and luxurious rooms, the dedicated staff shared fascinating stories about the hotel’s rich history. Each corner unveiled a glimpse into its legacy, from the evolution of its dining spaces to the intricate design details.
This journey not only deepened our appreciation for the hotel’s heritage but also showcased the timeless elegance that makes The Peninsula truly special. It was a memorable day filled with learning and inspiration!
