Dream2Story is pleased to announce that the application process for the Mentorship Program for The Foundry 2025 is now officially open.
We invite experienced professionals and corporate volunteers to join us in shaping the future of young innovators and change-makers.
Program Overview:
The Foundry 2025 Mentorship Program is designed to empower students by connecting them with corporate volunteer mentors who provide guidance, support, and valuable insights into various professions whilst undergoing a business proposal project with their respective student teams.
The purpose of this 12-week experiential programme is to help under-resourced students broaden their horizons through exposures they would not otherwise have and develop and gain insight into their own capabilities in areas that are critical to work life such as communication, team working, problem solving skills and resilience.
Why Mentor with Us?
The Foundry is targeted at the less resourced group of students.
The Foundry programme is structured; designed to be delivered with ease whilst allowing space for D2S:Mentors to interact and build relationships with students.
We provide (mandate) training for all D2S:Mentors.
D2S:Mentors are a community; there are numerous opportunities for D2S:Mentors to build relationships with each other.
It is long term; we expect relationships built to last beyond the programme.
What Students get from D2S:Mentors:
Professional Exposure: Students learn from industry mentors and visit companies to gain insights into various professions and businesses
Skill Development: Through collaboration, students construct and present a business plan at a final competition, enhancing their critical problem-solving skills
Resilience Building: Mentors help participants build confidence by discovering their strengths and overcoming challenges along the way
Ongoing Support: With continuous guidance from mentors and access to the D2S alumni network, students are well-prepared for their transition into the workforce
